TRAINING AND ADVISORY SERVICES

We have experience in organizing and running trainings and advisory services. So far the trainings organized by us have been attended mostly by representatives of public administration and non-governmental organizations.
Thanks to cooperation with a wide range of experienced experts and coaches from various areas we run specialist trainings and advisory services in i.e.:

• entrepreneurship,
• tools of social participation,
• risk management,
• human resource management,
• management of processes in self-government units,
• finance,
• soft competencies

The trainings prepared by us are organized in a complex way – in cooperation with our partners we propose the program, goal and duration of the training, we develop and prepare training materials for participants.

Diagnosing situation and building the the enterprise’s development strategy 

Within the Quick Reaction Instruments Project, in cooperation between Małopolska School of Public Administration and Polish Agency for Enterprise Development we offer complex and long-term analytical and diagnostic support for over 260 enterprises, for which we developed “tailor-made” Individual Development Plans, containing an in-depth analysis of the company situation, an analysis of its surroundings and a multi-aspect analysis of development directions along with proposed changes.

PROJECTS

• Decentralization Offering Better Results and Efficiency (DOBRE)
  The goal of DOBRE program, financed from USAID, is to strengthen local government processes, consolidate democracy, improve social development conditions and promote stability in the context of the progressing decentralization processes in Ukraine. Together with local partners, the project consortium supports the potential of local self-government for effective management of resources and provision of services matching social needs. Simultaneously, DOBRE initiates actions aimed at improving civic involvement and control within the local government processes. Within the project, Małopolska School of Public Administration focuses on issues of developing the potentian of Ukrainian decentralized administration by supporting the creation of the system of education and training for public officials.
  DOBRE project is implemented in seven Ukrainian counties (regions): Dniepropietrowsk, Iwano-Frankowsk, Charkow, Cherson, Kirowohrad, Mikołajow and Tarnopol. DOBRE will provide direct support for 75 communities in these counties, divided into 3 cohorts, with 25 communities each. The presentation of achievements by the communities participating in the project, as well as the benefits for community members will help support the process of adopting the best practices in other communities and national-scale decentralization.
  DOBRE project will strengthen the local management, consolidate democracy, build the prosperity and improve stability. Thanks to it, it will be possible to build stronger communities by adopting an approach based on their grass-root activities, where citizens cooperate with self-government in order to improve the quality of their life. Partnerships within the civic society, private and public sector will bring tangible proofs of the effectiveness of the project by indicating and taking advantage of new business opportunities, better management of local services and building foundations for future development and cooperation. Achieving high level of public management culture will serve as a model example to other Ukrainian communities and will contribute to building a conviction that decentralization brings positive effects.

• Project: CITISPYCE – Combating Inequalities through Innovative Social Practices of and for Young People in Cities across Europe

Identification of factors differentiating the status of young people residing in European cities and developing rules, mechanisms and instruments used for improving their social and economic situation through:

• analysing the efficiency and effectiveness of local public policies concerning the socio-economic inclusion of young city-dwellers,examining the nature of social innovations, taking into account their application for limiting socio-economic inequality phenomena among young people,creating a demographic and spatial map of inequalities among young people living in urban areas,
• identifying strategies of dealing with socio-economic problems encountered by young people,
• developing recommendations, rules, mechanisms and instruments aimed at improving socio-economic situation of young people living in the cities,
• introduction, as a pilot project, solutions developed in CITISPYCE project and empirical verification of their efficiency and effectiveness,
• popularization of developed (and positively verified) solutions from CITISPYCE project and introducing them into the main trend of public policies, especially the local ones, oriented at social, economic, cultural and civic inclusion of young city-dwellers.

• Project PASE – Public Policies and Social Enterprises

International project implemented within Community Initiative Program INTERREG IV C, financed with European Regional Development Fund.
The main goal of the project was to strengthen the effectiveness of regional public policies in promoting and supporting social enterprises. It is assumed that a set of tools and methods increasing the participation of social enterprises in local and regional development processes will be created. We will also develop ways of implementing the above methods in various EU countries.

• INCASIS – Institutional Capacity for Assessing the Impact of Structural Funds

The aim of the project was to develop and implement  methods and tools for assessing the effective use of structural funds and their influence on modernization processes in regions of new European Union member states (based on solutions and experiences of old EU member states).
In the long run, INCASIS was to contribute to better use of structural funds and, consequently, supporting regional development and cohesion. In order to accomplish this goal, the experience of countries and regions already applying such methods had to be fully utilized. Within the project partners jointly developed a catalogue of practical evaluation tools and a guidebook for project evaluation, popularized among stakeholders and regional partners all over Europe.
