    Adiunkt w Katedrze Geografii Społeczno-Ekonomicznej. Główne zainteresowania badawcze to: polityka rozwoju regionalnego i lokalnego, zmiany zagospodarowania przestrzennego obszarów wiejskich, rozwój obszarów peryferyjnych, wykorzystanie Geograficznych Systemów Informacji (GIS) w badaniach marketingowych, turystyka na obszarach prawnie chronionych.

    Prowadzone zajęcia: Ekonomiczne aspekty gospodarowania przestrzenią, Gospodarka gruntami w mieście, Monitoring środowiska, Podstawy gospodarki gruntami, Przyrodnicze uwarunkowania gospodarowania przestrzenią.


    Doctor of Earth Sciences, Assistant Professor of Department of Socio-Economic Geography at the Cracow University of Economics. His research focuses on rural development issues, especially issues concerning peripheral rural areas, regional and local politics and diversification of access to primary education in rural areas. Recent work explores to what extent the peripherality of the location determines the opportunities for economic development. Marcin Semczuk did his graduate work in geographical sciences at the Pedagogical University of Cracow, with the specialization in economic geography. His doctoral thesis is entitled The Influence of Peripherality on the Socio-economic Development of Rural Areas in the Małopolska Province.

    The author (or co-author) of more than twenty reviewed research papers published in Poland and abroad. Since 2017 he has been a member of the Polish Geopolitical Society where he is a member of the board, and since 2018 he has been a member of Polish Geographical Society.
