  • Enrollment for the first-cycle (BA) programmes is carried out on the basis of graduation:

    Foreign certificates can be recognized by law

    • Certificates and other documents issued by school or educational institution functioning in the education system of EU, OECD and EFTA member countries – parties of the agreement of European Economic Area (EEA), which enable enrollment for studies in this countries.

    It applies for certificate of secondary education in the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Great Britain, Hungry, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Turkey, USA.

    • Certificates IB  (International Baccalaureate) issued by the International Baccalaureate Organization in Geneva.
    • Certificates EB  (European Baccalaureate) issued by the European Schools, according to the Convention defining the Statute of the European Schools, issued in Luxemburg on 21st of June 1994 (Journal of Laws from 2005, No 3, item 10).

    The decision of recognition issued by the Board of Education in Poland

    If you do not possess any of the above mentioned documents you’re obliged to make an official recognition (“nostryfikacja”) of your secondary-school certificate. The “nostryfikacja” is done by the Board of Education.

    The basis of a relevant international agreement

     

    Admission is based on the grades obtained at the secondary school-leaving examination, and the qualification procedure includes the following subjects:

    • Public Economy and Administration: mathematics or geography, or history, or society knowledge and foreign language.

    The points for graduation certificates of secondary education are calculated by the University Enrollment Comittee and they determine admission to further qualification. A maximum of 200 points can be granted for 2 subjects (100 points for 1 subject).

    Before filling the online application please contact our Teaching Department to convert your grades from the secondary- school certificate into the Polish scale.

    1. Signed printout of the online application.

    2. Secondary-school certificate (legalised, translated and recognized ) – original and copy.

    3. A statutory declaration confirming that the secondary-school certificate entitles the holder to apply for admission to university studies of any kind of university programmes in the country in which the secondary-school certificate was issued – original and copy.

    • such a document may be issued by the consulate or relevant ministry, or the education authorities of the country, in which the education system has issued the certificate (in that case this document should be translated into Polish by a certified translator).

    This declaration is not required if relevant information can be found on the graduation certificate of secondary education.

    4. Financial Statement (document only for EU candidates)

    5. Medical Certificate confirming that you’re allowed to study 

    6. Statement about citizenship 

    7. Polish Card – original and copy (if available)

    8. A copy of passport/ID Card (page with photograph)

    9. 2 current photographs (35mm x 45mm)

    10. Personal questionnaire

    11. Parental statement (for candidates who are minors)

     

    IMPORTANT:

    • Failure to submit documents mentioned above implies that a given candidate is being replaced by a person from the reserve (waiting) list,
    • Any incomplete applications will be automatically rejected.

    A. Tuition fee payment for the first semester

    The non-nationals who enroll and follow degree programmes in accordance with the rules applicable to Polish nationals shall pay the tuition fees in accordance with the rules applicable to Polish nationals.

    • Tuition fee: 2700 PLN per semester

    The total fee is payable for the first semester, while payments in instalments are accepted for subsequent semesters.
    B. Submitting documents:

    • a copy of health insurance covering the entire period of studies in Poland or copy of a European Health Insurance Card or insurance from the National Health Fund (All foreign students are required to hold accident and health insurance in the territory of Poland). Two options are available:
      • Insurance from the National Health Fund (Batorego 24 street, Krakow),
      • a policy from an insurance company based in Poland,
      • In respect of EU citizens, their European Insurance Health Cards are deemed valid.
    • a copy of visa/residence permit or EU citizen’s registration of stay.
